Cloud Server Setup and Registration

All SmartESP smart home controllers are managed using a server, which can be local (Local) or cloud-based (Enterprise or Personal). Let's see here how to register and configure the server for the Enterprise option - a public cloud server. This is the most optimal option, which does not require system administration skills and significant costs.

Registering a cloud server

It is very easy to become a smart home cloud server owner. To do this, go to the Personal section, where you should go to the Servers tab and click the New Server button. In the window that appears, give a name to the server and choose its variant - Enterprise. Click Save.

A new server appears in the list and is waiting for final approval. Click Submit and if the registration was successful, you will receive a license code. In addition, here is the name of the server domain.

Go to this address and save it, this is the cloud public server for your smart home:

https://my.smartesp.net

When you are accessing the cloud server for the first time, a separate registration will be required. Click on the Register button and fill out the form, while providing the license code that was issued to you earlier.

After clicking the Register button, your license is verified and you will be taken to the control panel of the smart home server. Yes, your server is ready for operation!

You can go to the Account section and make sure that your license is activated and you have a license key.

Congratulations, you are now a smart home cloud server owner!

Now you need to register your controllers. But, before that you need to configure your router. After all, it is through the router on which the WiFi network is installed and will communicate between the controllers and the smart home server. How to do this can be found in the documentation: Connecting the router to the server.
